Gravimetric Dosing

It is widely accepted that a gravimetric measurement is more accurate than a volumetric measurement.

Solids and liquids can be dosed automatically
Weighing papers and volumetric flasks are not required
Liquid can be dosed directly to achieve the desired concentration
Smaller quantities can be accurately weighed according to USP regulations
Allows smaller amounts of stock solutions to be made up, reducing material cost and waste
